So, after a full month of this thing sitting in customs, still don't know why, it arrived nearly 7 weeks after I put in order. It's a nice idea but the water level seemed to plummet and the surrounding area was always wet. Apparently it splashed enough that it nearly emptied in a few hours. That was at the slowest rate of flow. Decided that I would cut the lift tube by a couple of inches, couldn't hurt the function too much! Happily it seems to be working much better.
The cats finally seem ok with the running water, took some time.
Basically, if you adjust the lift tube It's better.
